Many thanks to all those at Camberley & Bagshot parish for raising over £260 for Connect2 Cambodia. Jo Carroll, our CAFOD parish volunteer told us about their simple but novel way of raising money.
“Towards the end of 2015 when the Camberley & Bagshot Catholic Parish CAFOD/J&P group started to fundraise for the CAFOD connect2 Cambodia project one of the group had the idea of collecting small donations in tubes placed at the back of the three churches in the parish. This was to raise awareness within the parish of the new fundraising project and that many Cambodians live on less than 50p a day. Recently we put our CAFOD ‘tubes’ out again for two weekends to raise awareness that Connect2 programme is now supporting a new area in Cambodia. The total raised over the two weekends was an amazing £264.36. “
