St Edmund parish quiz night

Winning Team Flambards Peaked

A HUGE thank you to the Justice and Peace group at St Edmund’s parish Godalming for a fantastic quiz night which raised £600 for CAFOD.

Jo Lewry reports ” Another exciting end to the St Edmund’s parish quiz night saw the team Flambards Peaked streak ahead in the final round of pot luck. After eight rounds including Mary, Mary all about women called Mary and musical places which linked songs to geography and a table top quiz on words beginning with ” Chi” Flambards Peaked  raced to the  finish with a superb score of 96. Well done!

Quiz master and mistress Ian and Jan Honeysett

Many thanks to Ian for writing the questions and entertaining us with his hilarious jokes and to Jan for keeping score. Also thanks to Mary Waight and Colette Wyn-Griffiths for providing the delicious supper of jacket potato and chilli, and to Julian Lewry and Adrian Wyn-Griffiths for setting up and clearing away afterwards.

The fantastic amount of £600 was raised for CAFOD which included the raffle organised by the parishioners from St John the Evangelist Church Farncombe where the quiz was held. Lastly a huge thank you to all those who supported the event we had seven teams this year and hope for even more next year. ”
