Celebrate Brighton Sends Messages of Hope to Refugees

Celebrate Brighton, the Catholic charismatic family weekend conference for Christians of all ages, took place on the weekend of the 25th and 26th of June. The theme, in tune with the Year of Mercy, was ‘Act justly, love tenderly and walk humbly with your God’ Micah 6:8.

The conference explored the theme well and were delighted to receive the Lampedusa Cross, encouraging people to reflect on the refugee journey and how we can show mercy to others.

During the weekend participants were asked to find some time in the programme of talks, workshop, worship and fellowship to write a message of hope to refugees. Over fifty people wrote heart-felt messages which will be delivered to refugees in the coming months to encourage and support them.

Our thanks go to the organisers of the Celebrate Brighton Conference and also to the people who expressed their solidarity, concern and love by writing their messages of hope.
