Mary Tomlin and her CAFOD team organised a vintage afternoon tea on Sunday 1st May for the parishioners of Sacred Heart Church,  Caterham.

Luckily the sun shone down and the afternoon was a great success. Sandwiches, cakes and scones were eagerly consumed as well as endless cups of tea. The raffle raised £158 and overall the afternoon made a staggering £621.80 for the CAFOD Lent appeal. Many thanks to all those who supported the event and especially a huge thank you to those who helped with waitressing, setting up and clearing away.

I would like to thank Mary and her team of CAFOD volunteers for their superb fund-raising efforts and their tireless commitment to CAFOD. Jo Lewry

If you are holding a fund-raising event do let us know about it so we can put it on our events page of the blog, and then send us photos afterwards so that we can share the  variety of ways that YOU (our fantastic supporters) fund raise for CAFOD.
