It was a close finish at the St Edmund’s quiz night on Saturday 9th April with “The Magnificent Seven ” winning by half a point. Quiz master Ian Honeysett had written questions for the seven rounds which were titled Geography CAFOD style, Endangered species, Space to boldly go.., Me, me ,me, I’m a lady and It’s a green planet.

Seven teams took part which included two from the Anglican congregation at St John’s Church, Farncombe where the quiz took place, and over £330 was raised for the CAFOD Lenten Appeal Turn on the Taps . Many thanks to those who took part in the quiz and especially to Ian and Jan for setting the questions and calculating the scores and to the St Edmunds Justice and Peace group ;- Mary Waight, Julian Lewry and Colette Wyn-Griffiths for organising the quiz and the shared supper. It was a fantastic evening and a great way to support people in countries  like Uganda who have to walk for many miles each day to find water for their families.
