Many people would like to hear updates on the various emergencies around the world, and how we work in those situations. Hopefully you will find all the information you need in bite sized chunks in the review of our work – CAFOD’s Crisis Watch. You can download a PDF of the newsletter by clicking here Crisis Watch – Summer 2013

As always we owe two words of thanks:

Thanks to our partners who are local organisations on the ground doing the work in very difficult situations.

Thanks to those who have donated to our emergencies to enable our work with people who are suffering a great deal. We remember the words of Jesus: ‘What so ever you did to the least of the brothers (and sisters) of mine, that you did to me.’

As always, please pray for those who are living through emergencies and crises around the world. Please pray for all of our partners and staff who are working in those difficult situations. We pray for strength, endurance, patience, consolation and peace.

Our prayers at the moment are particularly with the people of Syria – those who remain in Syria and those who are refugees in neighbouring countries. For up to date news on emergencies, please see http://www.cafod.org.uk/News/Emergencies-news

If you would like to be part of the emergency response team by giving a small amount each month to be spent on emergency situations throughout the world, then more information can be found here http://www.cafod.org.uk/Give/Donate-to-Emergencies
