Join us at the Diocesan Launch of CAFOD’s New Campaign HUNGRY FOR CHANGE: 21st of November at St Joseph’s Parish Hall, Epsom.
Hungry For Change? You are invited to join in celebrating the Diocesan Launch of CAFOD’s new campaign, Hungry For Change, which focuses on food. The campaign looks at how there is enough food for everyone, but millions go to bed without food every night. The food system is failing the poorest people but we have the power to change this.
At 8pm on the 21st of November at St Joseph’s Parish Hall, Epsom, CAFOD will launch the campaign in the Diocese. In addition to introducing the campaign, we will have Maurice McPartlan speaking during the evening on the place of campaigns within a Catholic Approach to Development. Maurice is CAFOD’s Special Advisor on Church and Development and works partly from the offices of the Catholic Bishops Conference of England and Wales. He has much experience of development work in Africa.
We will have Audrey Ardern-Jones, Parish volunteer in Epsom, sharing her experiences of visiting Zambia with CAFOD. We will also have a Zimbabwean singer who is resident in the Parish and will have a taste of Zambian poetry. Refreshments and snacks included.
