Call on the Foreign Secretary to add to international pressure to lift the blockade, and support our work helping traumatised children rebuild their lives.
For over three years, hundreds of everyday items were banned from crossing Gaza’s borders: musical instruments, light bulbs, spices, newspapers – even children’s toys.
The blockade was partially lifted in June, thanks to a global outcry. Now, many goods including vital materials for rebuilding clinics, schools and homes destroyed in the conflict are trickling through. But construction projects are tightly controlled and many products are still banned.
Your donations will provide help today, but the people of Gaza need hope for a better future too. Please use our sample letter to write to the UK government , calling for leadership in bringing about an end to the crippling four-year blockade, allowing the free movement of people, humanitarian aid and commercial goods.
Please send letters to:
Rt Hon William Hague MP, Foreign & Commonwealth Office, King Charles Street, London, SW1A 2AH
